Diving Britain – The South Coast

The south coast of England is one of the top holiday destinations in the UK and rivals the South West for stunning coastal scenery and beaches. The Jurassic Coast that runs from East Devon to East Dorset is a World Heritage Site and the south coast is also home to the busy ports of Southampton […]

Great White Sharks: Fact vs. Fiction

Sharks. Most people have an opinion about sharks, especially Great Whites, whether they have spent time diving with them or not. In this article for Scuba Diver Life I take a look at the reality of these mysterious creatures.

There is growing worldwide fascination with — and a love for — sharks, and quite rightly so. […]

Dive Site: Beqa Lagoon, Fiji

Looking for a world class shark dive this year? Look no further than Beqa Lagoon, Fiji and enjoy my recent article for Scuba Diver Life.

Rainforests of the Ocean

We have enjoyed another fantastic day on the tropical island of Koh Sdach with Projects Abroad, Cambodia. We spent the morning diving a nearby island with the volunteers, during which we focused on assisting a volunteer with her photography skills and Nicholas also removed some netting from a coral. The other volunteers were busy conducting […]

Plastic Fantastic??

Our first few days on the remote island of Koh Sdach off the coast of Cambodia have been very interesting and insightful. We travelled many hours in a local and crowded minibus to reach this area, which is not often frequented by overseas visitors other than the volunteers and staff at the Projects Abroad base […]

Projects Abroad Mangrove Reforestation

Our second community action day with Projects Abroad Fiji involved mangrove reforestation at a local riverbank. The staff and volunteers of Projects Abroad have been busy growing mangrove propagules in recent weeks and they were ready for planting in the wild during our time in Fiji. I have already discussed the importance of mangroves for […]

It has been such a pleasure to enjoy the company of the volunteers, staff and local Fijians – who are very warm and welcoming.

We visited a local school […]
